MINISTRIES

CHILDREN & YOUTH MINISTRIES: Directed by Pablo Ayllon, a graduate of King College & Covenant Theological Seminary.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION: Classes are held each Sunday for all ages, nursery through adult at 9 a.m.  All classes study the Bible in age appropriate settings using a variety of methods.

SEASONAL VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Westminster frequently holds one-day Bible schools during the Christmas & Easter seasons to reinforce or introduce children to the Biblical meaning of those important events.  Summer VBS is also a regular & exciting event for the church & community families.

NURSERY: Westminster provides a caring nursery staff for children ages 3 & under.

YOUTH MINISTRY: WPC Youth Group meets on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. for games, fellowship, interactive Bible study & refreshments.  An open Q & A time for discussion of relevant cultural issues, movies, music etc. & how they relate to living for Christ, is always a part of youth group.  This "cool" group is led by Pablo Ayllon.

GRACE GROUPS: Small groups of adults meet in the homes of members to give the participants an opportunity to enjoy a time of more intimate fellowship, prayer & studying the scripture with their friends.  The group decides the subject matter to be studied, frequency of meeting etc.  See the church calendar for available groups, times & meeting places.

EQUIPPING THE SAINTS:  Pastor Adrian frequently offers a series of studies at various times of the year covering a variety of topics.  These are designed to assist the congregation & others in their understanding of Biblical issues & how they relate to the brokenness of lives.  See the calendar for current or soon to be studies.

PRAYER-CARE:  Prayer-care is a one-on-one prayer ministry led by Jim & Ruth Dodd.  Once a month a small prayer team calls each member of the congregation individually to determine matters the congregant wishes prayer for.  These requests are confidential unless otherwise stated by the member.

WOMEN IN THE CHURCH:  WIC provides opportunities for women to grow together in the grace & knowledge of our Lord, Jesus Christ.  Some activities in which WIC participates include an annual Christmas brunch, ringing of the bells for the Salvation Army, an annual womens fall retreat usually held at Lake Sallateeska in Southern Illinois & showers & fellowship events held at various times throughout the year.

MEN'S MINISTRY:  WPC men meet together periodically for a men's breakfast.  Leadership training classes, designed to assist men in becoming servant leaders in their homes, work places & in the church are held annually.

CHOIR & WORSHIP TEAM:  WPC is committed to a blended form of worship, using both traditional & Christ centered contemporary styles of music.  Opportunities abound for those desiring to use their musical gifts, in both the choir, directed by Janet Vandegriff, & the praise team led by Terry Dorris.

PASTORAL COUNSELING:  Pastor Adrian is available to counsel people who desire assistance with life & family issues, both inside & outside of the church family.  Recognizing that life brings with it difficult situations that cause anxiety, we believe that Biblical counsel, pastoral care & prayer can be of great benefit.
